ACCOUNT HANDLERS : follow each project through the studio, ensuring all expectations and deadlines are met and managed, providing a single point of contact.
SET DESIGN & STYLISTS : create mood boards that interpret the clients brief in to a visual showcase, it also specifies decretive detailing and props so staff members and clients alike have a point of reference for visual expectation. Stylists then liaise closely with the visual operative to position props on set just as they would in the live studio environment.
Set Visions believe no client would dream of attempting to photograph a room set without the input from an experienced stylist, so why would you attempt it in CGI?
PHOTOGRAPHY : is where all CGI should start and that's exactly why Set Visions puts the photographer at the heart of its PIX image making. They choose lens optics, camera location and instruct on lighting positions and techniques. Set Visions believe that this element of the process cannot be over emphasised.
"just because you can use a camera doesn't make you a photographer, by that principal just because you can use CGI software it doesn't make you a photographer either".
All textures are photographed and not scanned which produces higher definition, because lighting is specifically tailored for each surface improving the realism when rendered within the software.
Benefiting by having photographers input and influence also allows for shooting any organic props and then importing into the finished high-res render, again this boosts the photographic quality of the final image on scrutiny.
RETOUCHING : is a facility constantly used in photography today, especially since digitalisation and having been a leader in the transition from Film to Digital, it's no surprise to find such an excellent retouching facility at Set Visions. However, when it comes to a PIX project they are called on far less for retouching, but more for final colour management adjustment, ensuring consistency of product colour throughout the project and to make sure all files are delivered in formats and profiles printers request.
